DWD Secure Planning Permission for New Big Yellow Self Storage in Camberwell

DWD has secured planning permission on behalf of Big Yellow Self Storage for the redevelopment of a commercial site on Southampton Way, Camberwell within the London Borough of Southwark.

The consented scheme will provide around 8,500sqm of self storage space (including mezzanine floors) and 2,000sqm of flexi-offices, designed to accommodate small businesses and start-ups.

DWD led the preparation of the planning application and negotiations with with the London Borough of Southwark both in advance of the application submission and during the application determination period to successfully secure planning permission in April 2018.

Key issues included the impact on an adjacent Grade II listed building and employment land use issues.

DWD is working with Big Yellow Self Storage on a number of other schemes both in and outside of London.

For more information on the site, see our projects page case study.
