Appeal Allowed and CLEUD Granted at Windmill Road

Appeal

DWD secure planning permission, after an appeal is allowed, for the erection of a part three, part four storey building including office/showroom floor space along with 9 residential units and 9 parking spaces.

The Site is located at 92-94 Windmill Road at the intersection with the Great West Road (A4) in Brentford, West London.

The Site is currently vacant and the proposed development will offer a well-proportioned and attractive building of high architectural quality, which has regard to the scale, proportion and mass of the existing street scene and surrounding area.

The proposed 9 residential units will be of a high quality and will offer a variety of sizes and tenures. The apartments will benefit from balconies and access to the first floor roof garden that will run along the entire length of the development, as well as a communal area at the fifth floor roof.

The ground floor will provide B1 office/showroom space.

Certificate of Lawfulness of Existing Development (CLEUD)

Simultaneously, DWD have also secured a certificate of lawfulness of existing development to?establish that a planning permission, previously allowed at?appeal, has?been lawfully implemented.

The digging of a trench that will form part of the foundations of the approved building was undertaken in accordance with the approved drawings and before the expiration of the planning permission. The application was supported with evidence that the works undertaken constitute material operations.

The Council approved the certificate in agreement that the planning application has been lawfully commenced.
