DWD recently attended the annual Compulsory Purchase Association dinner held at The Grand Connaught Rooms as guests of Osborne Clarke and Charles Russell Speechlys solicitors.
With 350 people in attendance, it was a great opportunity to catch up with fellow professionals and hear about the activities within the association to promote the services of its membership. A very enjoyable after dinner speech was given by David Aaronovitch who provided an insight into the geo/omni-political process of compulsory purchase and perceptions of society generally to the State/Acquiring Authorities, those affected by CPO and professional advisors.
