Retail to Residential Conversion in Newham

DWD are pleased to have secured planning permission for the conversion of a retail unit to 4 flats along Cyprus Place, Beckton.

At London Plan minimum space standards, the ground floor flats have no private outdoor amenity space as they are able to use a communal amenity space that was constructed as part of a neighbouring development. The site is within Flood Zone 3 and is a locally listed former pub.

The change of use is a great example of Newham’s approach to pragmatic residential planning and making optimal use of redundant retail space.
